The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Sydney, together with Sri Lanka and Australia Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure of organizing the ‘Trade & Investment and Business Opportunities in Sri Lanka’ networking session on the 22nd March 2021
The event was held at the Garden Point Campus, the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane QLD.
The evening brought together many business leaders and decision-makers to explore opportunities Sri Lanka has to offer to potential investors. The event was an ideal platform to meet, connect and collaborate for future business ventures.
The event commenced with the welcome note delivered by Paul Bolt- Executive Director QUT International. Kalum De Silva – President of Sri Lanka and Australia Chamber of Commerce made the welcome speech and introduction of the event.
Opening remarks by Lakshman Hulugalle, Hon. Consul General was clear and precise as to what Sri Lanka has to offer for potential investors.
Abdul Raheem – Hon. Consul (Commercial), Consulate-General NSW made a very informative presentation on the subject.
A very interesting segment was the two speeches by Paul Cooper – Director /Rinstrum Smart Weighing Solutions & Andrew Paltridge – Professor of Practice in Internationalization School of Economics and Finance QUT. They shared their experiences working with Sri Lanka for a number of years.
Anton Swan- Hon. Consul for Sri Lanka in Queensland delivered the vote of thanks.
It was a wonderful evening of networking with hope for greater collaboration between Sri Lanka and Australia.
